La Vía Verde del Eo discurre a lo largo de 12 km, cruzando hasta 6 túneles y un viaducto. Este recorrido, también conocido como la “Ruta del Ferrocarril” o “Vía natural del Eo”, aprovecha el trazado del que fuera en su día el tren minero. Éste funcionó entre Vilaordrid y el puerto de Ribadeo, ambos pueblos de la provincia de Lugo, desde 1903 hasta 1964. Además, fue la primera gran infraestructura de comunicaciones de toda esta comarca galaico-asturiana.
Esta Vía Verde discurre a medias entre Asturias y Galicia, en concreto, entre San Tirso de Abrés y Villaodriz. Cruzaréis bosques de ribera y poblaciones de eucalipto, y en línea con el río Eo, por lo que en muchos tramos podremos disfrutarlo de cerca. Además, también podréis visitar antiguas centrales eléctricas abandonadas, como la Do Louredal. Aunque la Vía Verde del Eo no llega hasta el puerto de Ribadeo, os animamos a que os acerquéis a conozcáis esta preciosa villa. Otra opción son los Hornos de Calcinación de A Pontenova, monumentales ejemplos de Patrimonio Industrial. ¡Son increíbles!
Ideal para realizar tanto en bicicleta como a pie, aunque os recomendamos llevar con vosotros una linterna. Aunque los túneles tienen iluminación que se activa con el movimiento, ¡siempre es mejor estar preparados! También os recomendamos algún que otro desvío en el camino para disfrutar de maravillas escondidas. Algunos ejemplos serían un puente colgante o una escala para salmones. A lo largo de la Vía Verde del Eo encontraréis numerosos carteles con información sobre la zona y rincones para ver, como por ejemplo, antiguas casas hechas por los lugareños.
Indicar que el tramo que discurre en Lugo está asfaltado, por lo que mucha precaución: los coches pueden circular con vosotros.

Aunque la Vía Verde del Eo permite disfrutar de las maravillas naturales de Galicia y Asturias, os recomendamos un alojamiento con encanto en el Principado. ¿Os imagináis recorrer la Vía Verde más larga de España, partiendo desde un bungalow? ¡Es posible! Os presentamos la Vía Verde de los Ojos Negros, la cual une Castellón con Teruel a través de un antiguo tramo minero. ¡Ideal para todo tipo de viajeros!
Este recorrido es, por ahora, la Vía Verde de mayor longitud de España, con más de 160 km que se han dividido en dos tramos. Eso sí, respetando siempre el camino original que seguía el tren minero. Éste partía desde la mina de los Ojos Negros en Teruel y llegaba hasta el Puerto de Sagunto, a unos 203 km de distancia. Se ha mantenido la kilometración original con la que contaba la vía minera para poder así preservar lo histórico y más importante: con la previsión de que en un futuro próximo, cuando la Vía Verde se termine de ejecutar en todo su trayecto, exista una unidad kilométrica entre ambos tramos.
Facilidades de la Vía Verde
Puede que al leer 160 km de distancia más de uno se haya echado las manos a la cabeza. Pero tranquilos, a lo largo del recorrido encontraréis diferentes facilidades para que vuestro camino sea aún más increíble. Os recomendamos recorrer la Vía Verde de los Ojos Negros durante un fin de semana largo o puente que podáis cogeros. Por ejemplo, esta vía está acompañada en casi todo su recorrido por la línea de ferrocarril Valencia–Teruel. Existen varias paradas muy próximas al trazado de la Vía Verde, aunque, también, podéis disfrutar de un servicio de transfer que os recogerá en el punto que vosotros solicitéis.
Encantos de los Ojos Negros
A lo largo de todo el recorrido, podréis disfrutar de paisajes llenos de vida y con un encanto muy especial. Podréis cruzar puentes, túneles, ríos y viaductos; visitar barrancos, estaciones de tren llenas de historia e, incluso, os cruzaréis con el Camino del Cid. ¡Ah! Y contemplaréis la Torre Mudéjar de “las Campanas”, único ejemplo de arte mudéjar en tierras valencianas.
Desde BungalowsClub os recomendamos que en Navajas os acerquéis a descubrir la “Cascada del Brazal”, con su espectacular salto de agua de 30 metros de altura. También os gustará el “Salto de la Novia”, de trágica leyenda, situados en un entorno casi mágico junto al río Palancia.

The natural park of Las lagunas de Ruidera is divided into the provinces of Albacete and Ciudad Real and in it is found this big fluvial beach. On a surface of 4.000 hectare are divided 16 lakes that makes a waterfall and torrents that goes from the first spring water that borns from the White lake till arrive to the down lakes and to the swamp of Peñarroya. Para los que disfrutan de los grandes paisajes, les gusta descubrir nuevos lugares y si, además, lo pueden hacer de una manera diferente, entonces las Vías Verdes son su mejor opción.
Gracias al Programa de Vías Verdes y la gran labor de un buen número de instituciones recuperando estos antiguos recorridos junto a la Fundación de Ferrocarriles Españoles, hoy os podemos proponer una aventura muy especial: recorrer la Vía Verde de la Tajuña.
Esta Vía Verde, que discurre junto al río del mismo nombre en la Comunidad de Madrid por un agradable paisaje de vegas, es muy fácil de seguir, ya que toda ella cuenta con un firme de asfalto de inconfundible color rojo. El recorrido empieza en Arganda del Rey y discurre a lo largo de 49km hasta Ambite. Es perfecta para disfrutarla tanto en bicicleta, andando e, incluso, en patines. Además, muchos de sus tramos son completamente accesibles, ¡así nadie se puede quedar sin recorrerla!
Os recomendamos que visitéis las estaciones del ferrocarril de Arganda, Central Eléctica de Chavarri y balneario de Carabaña. Una ventaja que tiene esta Vía Verde es que se puede llegar hasta Arganda del Rey gracias al Metro de Madrid, por lo que si os animáis a conocer el centro de Madrid tras esta aventura, ¡podréis disfrutar de los encantos que guarda la ciudad!
Durante los 49 km de Vía Verde de la Tajuña, podréis conocer la zona industrial de Arganda y unas suaves laderas donde apenas quedan rastros de algún olivo; en Morata de Tajuña, donde os recomendamos disfrutar de sus famosas palmeras de chocolate, podréis visitar donde antiguamente si situaba la estación de Tajuña, que llegaba hasta conocidos pueblos como Chinchón o Colmenar de Oreja. Eso sí, avisaros que durante 3 km la Vía Verde es de tráfico compartido, donde podréis cruzaros con algún que otro vehículo, por lo que os recomendamos mucha precaución por este paso.
Otro tramo donde os cruzaréis con vehículos motorizados será en Perales de Tajuña, ya que parte de la Vía se bifurca en dos caminos, por donde os podréis encontrar con algún que otro coche o, incluso, tractor.
Ya en el kilómetro 29, en Tielmes, encontraréis una pequeña área de descanso donde podréis recuperar energía. Además, esta parte del recorrido no cuenta con ninguna cuesta, por lo que también os será más ameno.
Tramo final de la Vía Verde de Tajuña
A la altura del cruce con la carretera de Carabaña a Brea de Tajo, nuestra pista roja llega casi a orillas del río, donde un hermoso molino nos marca la entrada a Carabaña. En este punto, o bien podéis rehacer el camino hecho o continuar hasta el final, por la bifurcación que os lleva hacia la izquierda. Este nuevo tramo discurre hasta Orusco en paralelo a la explanación del Ferrocarril de los 40 días, construido durante la Guerra Civil. Junto a éste, por la pista rural acondicionada para ciclistas (¡ojo a los posibles coches!), llegamos frente a la localidad de Orusco. Cruzamos bajo la carretera y, podemos acercanos a este agradable pueblo o seguir por la Vía Verde que, al poco, retoma, ya hasta el fin, el trazado del ferrocarril.
Según nos vamos aproximando a Ambite, veremos que estamos en uno de los tramos más tranquilos de la Vía. Además, está pensada para que todos puedan disfrutarla, ya que cuenta con diferentes accesos adaptados. En los meses de verano podréis disfrutar de la piscina municipal (la cual también cuenta con acceso para personas con movilidad reducida) y en el antiguo edificio de viajeros, encontraréis un bar-cafetería y alquiler de bicicletas. Además, indicaros que Ambite es el último pueblo de Madrid antes de entrar en Guadalajara. ¡Imposible no querer visitarlo y más de una forma tan original!
