Remonter vers la vielle ville et contempler une parfaite vue panoramique, se promener entre des ruelles qui ont su s’adapter à l’entourage. Voici Cuenca, une charmante ville de Castilla – La Manche qui nous éblouira dès notre arrivée.
Une fois arrivés, il est indispensable de visiter les bâtiments les plus emblématiques, dont l’ensemble constitue un vrai paysage de carte postale. Les Maisons Suspendues (Casas Colgadas) sont la principale référence que nous aurons de Cuenca. L’origine de ces trois maisons n’est pas connue avec précision ; certains disent elle soit d’époque musulmane alors que d’autres affirment qu’elles soient d’origine médiévale. Cependant, elles furent restaurées au XXème siècle ; suite à ceci vit le jour dans deux d’entre elles le Musée d’Art Abstrait Espagnol. La troisième est devenue une auberge typique où nous pourrons savourer la meilleure gastronomie de la région.
De là, nous pouvons traverser le Pont de San Pablo, construit en fer et en bois. Auparavant à sa place se trouvait un ancien pont en pierre, construit entre 1533 et 1589 qui s’écroula et fut à l’origine de la construction du nouveau pont en 1902. Juste avant de le traverser, nous aurons l’occasion de contempler une sculpture en bronze en l’honneur des bergers : le Berger de Las Huesas del Vasallo. À ce même point, il est possible d’admirer les merveilleuses vues de la Hoz del Huécar (la gorge du Huécar) et les Maisons Suspendues.
De l’autre côté du pont, se trouve le Couvent de San Pablo. Les nombreux bâtiments religieux érigés à le ville sont le témoignage du fort caractère clérical que la ville vécut à l’Époque Moderne. Ce couvent est un bon exemple, puisqu’il fut construit en 1523 comme un couvent dominicain, et actuellement il appartient à la chaîne hôtelière des Paradores de Turismo.
En remontant vers la zone élevée de la ville, connue par les habitants sous le nom du Château (El Castillo), nous pourrons visiter les vestiges de l’ancienne forteresse de la ville, qui nous a laissé uniquement la muraille de l’entrée et les spectaculaires vues sur le ville.
Comme lieu de référence pour flâner dans la ville, nous vous recommandons la Plaza Mayor à forme triangulaire, où aux sommets se trouvent el Ayuntamiento (la mairie), la Cathédrale de Santa María la Mayor et le Couvent de Petras.
La province de Cuenca, se divide en trois grandes régions naturelles: la Mancha, la Alcarría et la Serranía. C’est dans cette dernière où se trouvent Cabañas Caravaning Cuenca. Dans cet établissement, vous pourrez organiser différentes excursions dans la nature, visiter la Ville Enchantée (Ciudad Encantada) ou la naissance du fleuve Cuervo. De plus, le centre ville se trouve qu’à 7 kilomètres de l’établissement.

In the Top 1 of the highest waterfalls of Spain is for the Salto del Nervión, that is found between the provinces of Álava and Burgos. It is situated at more than 200 meters of high and the best moment to enjoy of it, it is at the time of rains and the melting, when more water goes down. And it has as origin the confluence of the Iturrigutxi, Ajiturri and Urita streams, born between the mountains of Gillarte and Gibijo.
The ones who have visit them says that it is without doubt one of the most awesome waterfalls of Spain. It is situated at the northwest of the province of Salamanca in the Natural Park of Arribes del duero. The Uces river falls 50 meters creating an unforgettable show to the views.
The Ebro river, as his passing through Burgos leaves spectacular view. This waterfall of 25 meters is situated in the locality of Orbaneja del Castillo and has created one of the most beautiful places of Castilla and León. Apart from the spectacular waterfall with capricious forms, in the middle of Orbaneja del Castillo its found La Cueva del Agua, of which causes a flow of water that goes at more than 150 meter of profundity at karst rock cliffs surrounding the edge of the gorge.
This amazing waterfall it’s found at the Paraje Natural of the Cimbarra, in Jaén at a few kilometers of Despeñaperros. La Cimbarra is the word that the locals use to denominate to water jumps, been this one of the most beautiful with 20 meters of fall in the Guarrizas river.
At the province of Albacete it’s found an exceptional fenom called «reventón» that is not found at any other cave and it is of origin kárstico. It consist of the pressurized exit of a big amount of water and it is show worthy to watch.
The Valle de Ordesa, ubicated in the Pirineo Central of Huesca, it is declared Heritage of the Humanity by the UNESCO and it is not for less because this glacial valley situated at the southwest of the Macizo del Monte Perdido pass the Arazas river leaving awesome water jumps that mix with the green of the vegetation. In the Circus of the Soaso you can found numerous waterfalls, but the more know is the Cola de Caballo, situated at 1.850 meters of high.
